The SSL Zen WordPress is a great solution for getting a free SSL certificate for your website, so that it can be served over HTTPS.
I think it’s terrible how much GoDaddy charge for SSL certificates, particularly when LetsEncrypt SSL certificates are free. The SSL Zen plugin lets WordPress admins set up an SSL certificate and install it on their site. CPanel access is required to install the certificate.
A premium version of the plugin is available which will enable auto-renewal of the certificate. When using the free version, you will need to renew your certificate manually every 90 days.
