More WordPress tutorials at: – CRED is a WordPress plugin ( that can do some pretty cool stuff such as let visitors submit and publish content on your website via a front-end form rather than accessing your website dashboard. CRED can also be used to create simple website contact forms, which is what this video tutorial is about.

Because CRED was designed to allow user generated content on websites it is not setup specifically for simpler tasks such as contact forms, however it can be used for this relatively easily.

You need to first set up a new custom post type and create some custom fields (use the free TYPES plugin for this – This only takes a minute to do and I show you exactly how to do this in the video.

Next use CRED to create a form that includes the custom fields you just setup, i.e. email and comment fields. During the form setup you also specify an email address where you will get notifications sent to when someone fills out the contact form.

Finally embed this contact form into a page on your website and so some quick styling to make it look nice.

That’s it, you now have a contact form on your WordPress website.
