Do It Yourself – Website Tutorials

This is a tutorial that shows you how to use the Template Project with a 4 camera rig provided by Leia within Blender to generate 4V content for the Lume Pad.

I think it is always rewarding if you can build something right from scratch without having to do much research based on a video example. I find it one of the quickest ways of learning. So rather than wading through documentation or getting stuck on some unexpected quirky problem that others may have already navigated, I thought I would put together a video showing all steps to create a video with the provided Blender template provided by Leia. With this I will be taking you right through from how and where to download all the way to viewing the end result on your Lume Pad tablet. I hope through this that I not only assist those who are already familiar with Blender, the Lume Pad or 3D in general, but also get others interested that may otherwise not have explored this exciting avenue.

If you are familiar with any of the topics, please feel free to skip over chapters. This is designed to be modular so that you can do this. For example if you know 3D and are familiar with making your own objects in Blender, you could skip straight to Chapter on Objects and Camera (start at 24:20), or even just cover the focal length, baseline scaling and Convergence Plane (Virtual) topics as needed.

Enjoy, and let me know how you go with your own projects. Please provide feedback on improvements also as this is my first tutorial video so I can incorporate them into my future videos.
