There are two great strategies to grow traffic to a blog.

First is to build “viral traffic” — the one that comes as a result of generating buzz in relevant communities and reaching out to influencers asking for support.

And second is to use “SEO” (Search Engine Optimization) — the one that comes as a result of putting effort into making your content rank high in Google.

In reality, both can’t exist without the other.

There’s no way to consistently go viral and not get a single visitor from Google. Likewise, there’s no way to pull massive traffic from Google and not have a single person share your content on Twitter or Facebook.

But, for the sake of the video, they will be discussed individually.

In this video, you’ll learn about the main challenges associated with each strategy and why we favor SEO over viral traffic.
