How to Submit Your Website to Search Engines Like Google, Bing and Yahoo

Do you want to let search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo know that your website exists?
Follow this EASY step-by-step tutorial to learn how to submit your website to search engines.

For those of you who prefer quick and to-the-point instructions, here’s a recap of everything covered in this video:
1. Confirm ownership of your site in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.
2. Create and upload a sitemap to the root folder of your website.
3. Submit your sitemap via Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
4. Wait for the search engines to index your website.
You can also check if your website is currently indexed in Google or Bing search by entering the following search query:
site:yourwebsite.com
If Google or Bing returns no results, then it’s likely that your website isn’t indexed.
NOTE. You can also use this same search query to check the index status of a webpage, like so: site:yourwebsite.com/webpage-url
It’s absolutely free and there is no harm in doing this.
If you see your website indexed in the search engines, then your submission was successful. Congratulations, you’re well on your way to becoming an SEO guru.
