Make-Along with the Makerss with this three-part Design Your Own Landscape Tutorial! Learn how needle felt a 2D landscape including how to achieve perspective, which wools and other fibres to use and how to add details to complete the landscape. This is a great project to use up your bits and bobs of wool and fibre leftovers!
In PART ONE: plan your landscape and draw a diagram, begin working on the background.
You can craft along if you like! You will need:
– A4 base which can be: wool/viscose felt sheet preferably a neutral light colour, linen or thick cotton fabric, tweed or good quality hessian
– A ‘palette’ of coloured wools, batts or tops predominantly in blues, greens, white, brown and other colours for flowers or similar
– Special fibres such as sari silk, curls (great for trees and shrubs, moss, flowers), Angelina Fibre.
– Felting needles in coarse, medium and fine
– Multi felting tools such as the 7-Needle Tool and 3-Needle Tool
– Felting mats such as the Earth Mat, Eco Wool Mat or Brush Mat (only to be used for the 7-Needle Multi Tool)
