To set up a WordPress website on Bluehost, you will first need to have a Bluehost plan. Which plans you choose and other options will depend on the project that you want to build. But in my humble recommendation, I would stick with the “Plus” plan since it’s still pretty affordable AND doesn’t limit your website number or storage space.

First, log in to your Bluehost dashboard. Press “add new” to start creating your website. From here you will have two different ways of creating that, either with Bluehost Builder or just using a custom theme. Go for a custom theme, since it’s way more versatile, and you can add a website builder to WordPress as a free plugin. Then add a website name, a tag line, feel free to skip all of the suggested plugins and now Bluehost will take over creating your website. At this point, you’ll have to wait for a few minutes, so go grab some tea and mayhaps click like on the video.

Once WordPress is installed, press Login to WordPress. Go to your dashboard, hover over Appearance, and then click Themes. Let’s add a new one by clicking here and then typing ASTRA in the search field. Click install, when it’s done, click Activate. Find a theme that you like, then click on it, and select “Import Complete Site”. You have a fully functional website by now. To make it truly your project, go to a page you want to change and select “Edit with Elementor”.

Now that our website is online, we have one final thing to do. Go to your Bluehost dashboard, select your website, go to the “Settings” tab, and turn off the “Coming Soon Page”. To optimize your website for faster loading times, you can install Cloudflare and use the WP optimizer that Bluehost gives you.

That wasn’t so painful, was it? Bluehost is easy to use even for beginners.
